Every minute idling in a drive-thru line burns fuel and adds pollutants to the air we breathe. The Clean Air Value Card is a free civic incentive from Clark County – park, walk-in, and dine-in at participating locations.
Why This Program Exists
Idling for just 10 seconds burns more fuel than restarting your engine.1 Every gallon of fuel burned releases about 20 lbs of CO₂ into the air.2 Parking and walking in instead of idling in line is a simple way to cut unnecessary vehicle emissions countywide.
Multiply that across a single pickup line, drive-thru, or parking lot, and the exhaust doesn’t just disappear – it concentrates around the people standing closest to it, including kids and older adults who are more sensitive to it.3

Turning off the engine, even for a short wait, keeps pollutants from building up in the places people spend the most time – school pickup lines, drive-thrus, and parking lots. Less idling means less exposure right where it matters most.
This program puts that math to work at scale: 10,000 cards, redeemable across 12 businesses in [] locations county-wide, rewarding the easy habit of parking and walking in instead of leaving the engine running.

– Available at county distribution sites and select community events
– Card is valid through the end of the pilot cycle; the program may be renewed, modified, or discontinued based on results
