SMS Terms & Conditions

I. Program Description:
Emicards.com uses SMS for two purposes: (1) one-time passcodes (OTP) for secure account login, and (2) informational fundraiser notifications. While account registration requires acknowledgment of our platform terms, enrolling in fundraiser notifications is strictly optional. Students who provide a phone number and explicitly select the SMS opt-in during registration at emicards.com/activate will receive messages from their Leader, including progress updates and campaign announcements. Consent is not a condition of purchase or account creation.
II. Message Frequency:
Message frequency varies. Typically, 1 message is sent per login attempt for OTP verification. For fundraiser notifications, Leaders may send several messages over the duration of a fundraiser campaign based on fundraiser activity.
III. Rates: Message and data rates may apply:
For any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

V. Opt-Out:
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to our number. After you send the SMS message STOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
VI. Opt-In:
Users are presented with an optional checkbox to receive SMS notifications during the account activation process at emicards.com/activate. By checking this box and providing a mobile number, you provide your express written consent to receive recurring automated informational text messages. If you do not provide a phone number or do not check the opt-in box, you will not be enrolled in fundraiser notifications. You may manage these preferences or opt out at any time via your user dashboard or by replying STOP to any message received.
VII. Carrier Liability:
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
VIII. Security & Abuse Protection:
To protect our users, we limit the number of SMS verification codes that can be requested per phone number within a given time period. If you are locked out, please wait 15 minutes before trying again. If you believe you are experiencing an issue, contact us at christine@emicards.com.
If you don’t agree to the terms contained in this User Agreement and Privacy Policy, you must immediately exit the Service.
